Georgia-Florida also a recruiting rivalry

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Florida punter Chas Henry understands the impact of the Florida-Georgia game.

Henry, who has yet to allow a single punt return yard this season, is from Dallas, Ga., and he's one of eight players on Florida's roster who crossed the state line to play college football for the Gators.

"There's a lot of great players that came from Georgia that are helping Florida out and the same thing for Georgia," Henry said. "There's a lot of Florida guys on that team. It's a hotbed of athletes that come out each year from Florida and Georgia, so it's an intense rivalry.

"It's not just a game between the two teams, it's a recruiting battle."

Look no further than Florida's defensive line to find where an impact is being made by players from Georgia.

Defensive tackles Lawrence Marsh (Augusta) and Omar Hunter (Buford), and defensive end Jermaine Cunningham (Stone Mountain) are all from Bulldogs country.

Marsh, a starter for the 2008 national championship team, has missed most of this season with an ankle injury, but Gators coach Urban Meyer said his run-stopping defensive tackle could be back this week to take on Georgia. Hunter, who came
